Real bride - Georgia

Georgia came to me with an image of a dress she’d seen and couldn’t get out of her head. She wanted to create something that fit the brief for her relaxed bohemian, festival style wedding, and she always planned to be a bare foot bride - I knew we were going to be a match.

We designed and discussed, creating a look that reflected the style she’d seen, whilst making it totally her, and got to work to create the hundreds of layers of tulle needed to execute this look.

It’s not un common to have a wobble - part way through the construction process Georgia tried a few other wedding dresses on, just to see if she had jumped too soon with this style she’d fallen for early on. But luckily, she found that nothing was quite living up to the dress we were creating.

I find brides often feel perhaps they should stick to a more traditional look or follow the latest or an existing trend but my advice is always: stick to your gut feeling. Georgia knew from the beginning that this design was engrained in her mind and I’m so glad we got to make her dream become reality and she walked down the aisle in a dress that she not only loved, but totally represented her personality and wedding style.
